Hello and welcome! I have been a professional personal  trainer / fitness instructor for over 23 years. No matter your age, gender, weight or fitness level, together we can set goals and work out a system that will get you fit and healthy, and looking and feeling your best!

My clients have ranged in age from 12 to 78 - and every age in between. So whether you just want to lose weight and feel better, build muscle mass for self image or competition, try a combat sport like boxing, improve your athletic skills and endurance, or just have someone to hold you accountable to your fitness goals... you have come to the right place!

Being healthy is a goal that most people on this planet share. But what does it really mean to be healthy? There is more to fitness than doing cardio and lifting weights, because there are many layers to having a truly healthy body. While it’s true that having a low body fat ratio and toned muscles does make you look fit, what is happening inside is just as important, if not more so.

EXERCISE
Science has proven time and time again that exercise is an absolute must for a body to be healthy. Physical activity not only help keeps the body toned and strong, it is also an important part of mental and emotional wellness. Even walking a few minutes a day can make a huge difference in your overall wellbeing. But in today’s overly busy society, it is becoming more and more difficult for people to find the motivation they need to get them on a consistent exercise routine… which can affect all aspects of their lives. That’s why personal fitness trainers are so popular, especially in urban and suburban areas where most people spend the majority of their time in front of a computer and in a car. If you are one of those people who needs to get moving, but also needs the motivation and guidance to get on the right track and stay (on it), then a personal trainer will help you get there.

DIET
Many athletes seem to be the picture of health, yet on the inside their bodies are struggling to survive. But why?

It’s important to understand that cells are the building blocks of your body, and they are constantly dying off. Once those cells die, they need to be replaced. But cells can’t be created out of thin air, they must be made of something… and that something is the food you put into your body. This is why the importance of your diet cannot be overrated or overstated. As your body creates new bones, muscles, and organs, what are you providing as building materials? Do you want your body to be made of Pop Tarts, Cheetos, Snickers, and the pink slime used as filler in fast food? Or would you be much healthier by providing REAL food… the food from the Earth... fresh fruits, nuts, grains, seeds, and vegetables? The old saying, “you are what you eat” is quite literally the truth. As your fitness coach, I can give you advice, tools and resources for a diet that will help you to maximize your fitness efforts. Please note that I am a long-time vegan athlete, so I can also help you transition to a plant-based diet if that is one of your goals.

ATTITUDE
You may have heard of the law of attraction, and you have probably experienced it as well. Sometimes it seems that we don’t have a choice about how we feel - we are reacting to people and events around us. But most of the time the opposite is true. In addition to being a fitness instructor, I am also a certified Life Coach, and my clients find that working with me on their physical health has done wonders for their mental health as well.
